As an intern for the Baltimore City Paper from August 2010-December 2010, I spent 120 hours learning what it is like to work in the newsroom of a weekly alternative news publication.
I wrote several event previews, a movie review of the film “Red,” and updated the website’s calendar listings through a content management system.
I also worked as a copy editor and performed the tasks of City Paper’s associate editor while she was out of the office.
